Including stops at three beautiful islands, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, and two important landmarks on the Peloponnese, Methana and Epidaurus, this trip will take you to pristine beaches, natural wonders, archaeological sites, and picturesque island towns for a firsthand experience of Greek culture, lifestyle, and hospitality.

Itinerary

Day 1: Athens (arrival – optional Acropolis tour)

Welcome to Greece, welcome to Athens! On your arrival in the Greek capital, you have the option to go on a guided tour of the Acropolis and visit the Sacred Rock’s iconic monuments, including the world-renowned Parthenon. Alternatively, you are free to explore Athens in any way you see fitting and we will be more than happy to assist you with our recommendations.

Day 2: Alimos (departure approx. 10:00) – Sail to Poros (arrival approx. 16:00-17:00)

Hidden corners and popular landmarks of Poros town await to be discovered during a short walking tour which ends at Galerie Citronne for an amusing cultural dive into the contemporary art scene.

You are free to spend the rest of the day as you wish. Placed high in the list of things to do in Poros is a 15-minute walk to the Love Bay for a swim or a fun exploration of the surrounding area with rented ATVs. As for the night-out we can recommend quite a few restaurants and bars.

Day 3: Hydra (arrival approx. 11:00)

Tranquil and vibrant at the same time, the picturesque town of Hydra is a treasure trove of historical and cultural gems waiting to be discovered.

During the walking tour of the town we will visit the finely refurbished Museum of Hydra for an in-depth introduction to the island’s long and fascinating history. The artistic icing on this day’s cultural cake will be a visit to the celebrated DESTE Foundation Project Space, where the works of prominent, world-famous contemporary artists are annually exhibited.

Swimming, cliff diving, shopping, relaxing at sunset bars are among the leisure activities we propose for the remainder of the day.

Day 4: Spetses (arrival approx. 12:00)

A walking tour of Spetses town will take you through its picturesque alleys and introduce you to the turbulent history of the island. Among the highlights of the tour is a visit at the Museum of Spetses and the Mansion-Museum of the legendary Spetsiote freedom fighter, Laskarina Bouboulina, the woman who masterfully commandeered her own war ships and became a national heroine of the Greek War of Independence in 1821.

The rest of the day is all yours, and other than the best seaside taverns, restaurants and bars, we can recommend some fantastic, secluded beaches or inland spots that offer stunning panoramic views.

Day 5: Methana (arrival approx. 16:00-17:00)

Once at the volcanic peninsula of Methana, a minivan or bus will be waiting to transport you to a natural wonder that locals call “Kammeni Chora” (The Scorched Land). From there begins a 25-minute hike to the crater of Methana Volcano which erupted for the last time nearly 2000 years ago. Rest assured, the view from the crater will undoubtedly be a jaw-dropping moment.

Back downhill, you can visit one of the volcanic beaches of Methana for a swim or visit the open-air thermal springs for a therapeutically relaxing end to an exciting day. Also included in the schedule is a delicious dinner with unlimited wine or tsipouro at a local taverna.

Day 6: Epidaurus (arrival approx. 12:00)

From the docks of Epidaurus harbor, a minivan or bus will take you through a beautiful, evergreen landscape to one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece for a guided tour.

The archaeological site of Ancient Epidaurus, a designated Unesco World Heritage Site, is famous for its masterfully designed and exquisitely preserved ancient theater, which is used even today for theatrical performances. Other than its celebrated theater, Ancient Epidaurus boasts the massive Sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of Medicine, which used to be the foremost therapeutic center in the ancient Mediterranean world for nearly a thousand years.

Day 7: Return to Alimos Marina (arrival approx. 17:00-18:00) – End of Sailing Trip

As the trip draws to an end, we sail by other iconic islands of the Saronic Gulf such as Aegina and Salamina, and jump at the opportunity for a farewell swim, before returning to the marina of Alimos tanned and full of lifelong memories.
