Thousands of years ago, Ancient Olympia had the privilege of organizing the Olympic Games. There, the concepts of fair play, fair judgement, athletic glory and truce were born.

Visit the birthplace of the Olympic Games, a UNESCO World Heritage site with magnificent ancient monuments. Take a guided tour of the archaeological site  and adjacent museum, and test your strengths in the Stadium where the start and finish lines are still clearly visible.

Learn about one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World, the Statue of Zeus which was erected by the Greek sculptor Phidias and explore a museum that houses some the most beautiful sculpture of Antiquity.

Pick up from hotel.

08:15 – 12:00

Private transfer to Ancient Olympia.

12:00 – 14:00

Explore the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece including the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera and the archaeological museum.

14:00 – 15:30

Free time for late lunch with local specialties in Olympia (lunch not included in cost).

15:30 – 19:15

Drive back to Athens.
