Internationally renowned for its immeasurable cultural significance and the multitude of historic monuments and architectural treasures that line its streets, the Old Town of Corfu is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built around two main forts that were erected to protect the maritime interests of the island’s rulers, the Old Town perfectly embodies the different influences that have shaped the island’s uniquely cosmopolitan character.

Celebrating Corfu’s cultural wealth, Discover Greek Culture has designed the Corfu World Heritage Walk, a tour that traces the town’s history from the 15th to the 19th century, revealing the significance of its Venetian, French, and British heritage. With our expert tour guides sharing fascinating details and lively anecdotes, you’ll wander through the Old Town’s esplanades and alleyways, travelling back through history to the time of maritime republics and grand empires, to discover the unique cultural tapestry that has earned this place UNESCO recognition.

To wrap up the tour with authentic Corfiot flavor, Discover Greek Culture offers a visit to Theotoky Estate in Ropa Valley, to treat yourself to a mini wine tasting session, with a hand-picked selection of the estate’s organic wines.
